Aadhar Sanstha Amalner has been dedicated to working with marginalized communities for over three decades, with a special focus on women and children. The organization provides critical support to victims of domestic violence and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Primary health care and maternal health care.
Aadhar’s mission is to empower women and children to live a life free from violence and ensure they have access to their rights and entitlements as human beings. The organization is led by a dedicated team under the guidance of Dr. Bharati Patil, Renu Prasad, and Prof.Vijaykumar Waghmare.
Key Initiatives
– Support to HIV/AIDS-affected individuals: Aadhar works with over 16,000 individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Jalgaon and Dhule districts, providing care and assistance.
– Assistance to sex workers: The organization provides health, legal, and human rights support to around 1,200 sex workers, helping them access essential services.
– Nutrition support program: Aadhar implements a nutrition support program for 150 HIV/AIDS-affected orphan children, partnering with Rotary Club and donors to ensure these children receive the care they need.
– Maternal and child health program: The organization runs programs to reduce maternal and child mortality in urban slums and rural tribal areas, focusing on improving healthcare access and outcomes.
