In the academic year 2024–25, the Health and Hygiene Project, affiliated with Salaam Mumbai Foundation, implemented the Tobacco-Free, Clean and Healthy School and Surroundings Program. We are pleased to present the annual report of this impactful project.
Through our organization, the Health and Hygiene Project was effectively implemented across 100 schools in three talukas of Jalgaon district—Amalner, Parola, and Chopda. Under this project, five sessions were conducted in each school, along with the organization of various interactive activities. These efforts aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of a tobacco-free environment and promote health and hygiene practices.
Project Objectives
1)Salaam Mumbai Foundation and Aadhar Sanstha are committed to creating a tobacco-free and healthy life for every child in Jalgaon district. This year, during the project period, our focus has been on raising awareness about health-related practices such as handwashing, hygiene, and nutrition.
2)In the year 2024–25, the objective is to improve the health status of students and community members in Jalgaon district, Maharashtra, by increasing awareness about personal hygiene, the importance of nutrition, and promoting a tobacco-free environment.
3)The project also aims to bring about behavioral change among students and the community by organizing various trainings, activities, and programs, and by sensitizing all stakeholders involved.
