The Swamini Project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering rural women by enhancing their economic independence and ensuring access to justice. Through skill-building, legal support, and community engagement, the project fosters sustainable development and gender equality.
The Swamini Project provided vocational training, enhancing women’s skills and employability.
SHGs were formed to boost entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and market access.
Legal awareness sessions on the Domestic Violence Act were held at the village level.
Support systems and referral networks were built with police, lawyers, and legal authorities.
323 women received training; 160 launched businesses, and over 140 expanded enterprises.
Women’s pressure groups were formed, and 25 domestic violence cases were addressed.
Women’s economic participation increased by 3,000–3,500 through entrepreneurship.
There was a rise in gender equality, legal awareness, and confidence among women.
Community ownership and local partnerships ensure long-term project success.
Women leaders were trained to sustain the impact beyond the project period.
